Wells Hits Jackpot by Singing the Praises of Ka Lei Eggs

Honolulu resident Richard Wells was judged the grand-prize winner of the recent Ka Lei Eggs Jingle Contest on KINE Radio (Hawaiian 105). Wells, a corporate trainer with 7-11 Corp., won a trip for two to Las Vegas for his winning entry. An avid KINE listener, Wells is passionate about the benefits of Ka Lei. “I can see and taste the difference between local Ka Lei Eggs and mainland eggs!” Wells says. “I only buy Ka Lei Eggs.”

KINE Radio deejay "Bruddah Wade" presents Ka Lei contest winner Richard Wells with a trip for two to Vegas.

Wells said he jotted down the words to his jingle on a note pad taking “only about 10 minutes.” It came easily, he says, because he already knew a lot about Ka Lei Eggs through radio and television commercials. Adding the music came easily as well, since Wells often plays Hawaiian music at various venues with his sons. “I guess I was inspired to do this because my wife and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary soon and we were hoping to go on a trip,” he explained. “Now we can look forward to going to Vegas!”
